Looking for a Flat in VIRAR. Is it a good idea?

I stay in Chembur as of now...and as my building is getting demolished we are planning to shift. Virar is a good option according to my parents. I dont know much about the place but with the thought of buying a flat in Virar makes me a bit worried.

Can anyone please help me know if we have good amenities there in virar and whether it is a good idea to buy a flat there?

I got to know about GLOBAL CITY in virar, Mumbai.
I just went through the website and learnt that they have good Water supply, Clubhouse with swimming pool, Jacuzzi , hi-tech gym n all...This makes me excited
Even the school and parks are nearby and so is convenient for my little bro.
All i have to do is pack my bags and book a flat as soon as possible (Now thats what my dad is keen on doing)
